| $9.00 | | Brake Boosters  | | The brake booster is a particularly expensive part to replace. There is only one manufacturer of these, and they price them in the stratosphere. The good news is, they rarely fail. Used on the power brake cars, they accept a vacuum hose from the engine manifold, and use that vacuum pressure to assist in the movement of the master cylinder. Be very careful when reattaching the brake booster to the master cylinder. Using too much torque can damage the delicate booster housing, and render it useless. |
