Idle Control Valves |
| The idle control valve control valve adjusts and maintains the proper idle for the car whether it's cold or hot. Based on temperature sensors in the engine, the valve opens automatically to allow more airflow into the engine while cold, keeping the engine supplied with more air until it reaches a certain temperature. Intake Bellows |
| Many fuel injection problems can be caused by vacuum leaks within the intake hoses. BMW intake hoods are especially susceptible to cracking. Often, replacing an intake boot can cure a variety of problems including rough idle, poor fuel economy and backfiring. Make sure that yours are not worn out or cracking, and replace them with new ones if they are. |
