For the most reliable of rebuilds, replace your pistons with new ones. If you are reusing your old pistons, make sure that you have them checked at a good machine shop to make sure that the ring grooves are not worn. Also, the cylinder bores should be honed. Failure to do so may result in a new set of rings not seating properly. |
