To check if the rotor needs replacing, simply take off the distributor cap, and look at the metal edge of the rotor. If it is pitted or has carbon deposits, the rotor should be replaced with a new one. Often, A new rotor can make a tired engine run like new. NOTE: Some 5-Series and 6-Series models came with either slip on or bolt on ignition rotors. Please check rotor type before ordering. |
