Coil Spring Retaining Pads |
| These are the rubber pads that secure the coil springs in the car. when replacing shocks/struts, it's a good idea to replace them at the same time. These rubber pads can wear out over time, causing your suspension to squeak as you go over bumps in the road. |

Sway Bars, Bushings, Brackets and Parts |
Perhaps the best thing that you can do to help an aging suspension is to replace old, brittle bushings with new high-tech, space-age, low-fat, super-duper ones. The newer bushings are made from better materials and will not wear out as easily as 25+ year old rubber ones. Check your car prior to ordering - it is common to find upgraded and non-stock sway bars on older cars. While you're in there, replace older sway bar brackets and fasteners that may be missing or damaged.
If you are experiencing strange rattles from your rear suspension or bizarre handling characteristics, then you may have a broken rear sway bar bracket. |
