Now that I'm home I actually got to look at the coil. I think what the picture suggests
is not hook up a meter to both sides of the coil. Most meters are: +12v, ground, and
trigger (negative on the coil). This has worked for me for years; but it does bring home
the point that perhaps I should read those labels every once in a while.;)
