He brought up something I had not thought about and maybe be helpful with the wiring behind the dash. see his post below Hope you dont mind Dave... Be Seeing you, -Don Dave wrote: I checked the connectors I have. They *do* fit the regular "cockpit" series aftermarket VDO gauges, and they *also* fit the 911 oil temp and pressure gauges! (People getting the "triple" combo gauge take note!) Not sure about the 914 fuel gauge though. I'm pretty sure they do *not* fit the stock 914 center con- sole gauges. Hmm, maybe I wasn't looking at the stock oil temp gauge, the others only have two wires anyway. So it's possible that it would fit the stock center-console mounted oil temp gauge, but it won't fit the other two. So, this is a VDO kit, part # 240 026, "Push-on Connector". Your local VDO shop can order them for you, if you ask nice. It contains three barbed female spade connectors, plus the plastic plug body that all three fit in. It is "keyed" so that you can only put it on one way, and serves to keep all those wires together nicely. I have about seven left at the moment, but I want to use most of them myself. I can sell off a couple of them for $10 each to your door. I *think* that's about what I paid for them, but I really don't know anymore. But it is a nice round number.
