I think all of the injector wires have different numbers on them. The ground wires may not have numbers, but I'm pretty sure the wires from the ECU have different numbers for each injector. The connections on the injectors themselves are not keyed for direction, so I would *think* that the direction doesn't really matter. Some have told me that a solenoid (an injector is a solenoid-operated valve) will move in one direction if plugged in one way, and will move the other direction if plugged in the other way, but might there be some sort of circuitry (e.g., diodes) internal to the injector that makes sure the solenoid is biased correctly? Not sure. I have not found any obvious difference when I turned around the plugs on my injectors. Did you use the Volvo and/or M-Bz part for the boots? If you need the plastic plugs or the connectors that go inside of them, I have some and can mail out at need. $1 postpaid for a plug or for two "pins". (Just to make it a round number.) Or you can go to a FLAPS that carries Beck-Arnley parts and order them yourself in slightly larger quantities. Do an archive search for "FI Part numbers" to find the post. --DD Dave Darling 74 914 2.0 (decapitated) darling@simlab.arc.nasa.gov "OFF WITH ITS HEADS!"
