I believe that they also provide something of a venturi for the valve. And finally, they may help protect the end of the valve from damage. I haven't really looked, but the only place I know of so far that has replaced them for me is Pacific Fuel Injection in South SF, CA. That was part of his injector cleaning & testing service. 650/558-8880. >2. Are the "L" shaped hoses preformed or cut from stock? They *appear* to >be preformed (to my uneducated eyes). Pre-formed, and NLA. 8^( I actually managed to buy a set of them a few years ago from my local dealer, but was told "Sorry, nope" when I went back more recently. As John and others have said, just use regular hose and keep the bend relatively gentle. >3. I have 3 injectors that have a little pin sticking out of the tip. I personally would send them off to Gus at Pacific FI above to see what he says, but he's relatively local to me. Not that much of a hassle to drop them off and pick them up. As I recall, though, most of the injectors that I have are in the "inside the injector" position, with the tip of the needle visible just about flush with the cap.
