Check the 914 Fan Page, at , in the Tech Refs section. You'll find Daves Hose Diagram, which has the layout of the fuel and vacc hoses of my 914. You'll also find Kjell Nelin's D-jet Guide. A very good article with lots of D-jet info. A good book to invest in if you want to know more about your FI is from Bentley Books--"Bosch Fuel Injection and Engine Management" by Probst. I think you can find it on the 914 fan site, or at Amazon--but I think the guys at Pelican have it for less $$. Great on theory, not great on car-specific stuff. (BTW, I *hate* "How to tune and modify Bosch FI". I think it's a crummy book. Some folks like it and think it explains the FI quite well, but I don't care for it.) >Currently I am fighting a fuel pump issue. For the hoses, check the diagrams--but you'll have to imagine that the pump has been moved to the front on your own. Your description sounds correct on the hose routing. For the electrical part, another article on the Fan Page talks about the fuel pump control system. Check it out. >Is there a feed and return at the gas tank, or are both ports equal ? There is a feed line and a return line. The feed line is larger-- ~9mm OD vs. ~7mm OD. >I hooked the pump up to a battery charger and it produced about 36 psi of >pressure. Is that right, high , low ? The spec'ed pressure in the fuel loop is 29 PSI. If your pump can produce 36 under similar loads to a working FI system, then it's fine. There is also a fuel delivery spec, but I don't remember what it is. Check the Haynes manual; I think they have a number. The Fuel pump control article may also have a spec.
