Not only can a car be repainted (mine has been about a zillion times over the years), but then the color can be altered by the camera AND the development process, PLUS the scanner (if a print is being scanned), PLUS however your particular browser interprets your current color settings. Usually the colors are pretty close--after all, the people who design and perform all of those steps are interested in getting the color at least pretty reasonable. But the errors can add up. So, if you are looking for an exact match of color, it will be sheer luck if what you match is correct. However, it should be fine for a general idea. OK, all that said: You can find a picture of my car on the 914 Fan Page, , under (I think) "914 Owners". There are also about five photos at , click on "Thunder Hill", then look for car #195. And there is at least one (I think I remember two) cars on the 914 Club's page under "914 Features" that are light blue. Look for "Craig Strain--130 MPH" for one of them. As far as I know, the only light blues ever offered on a 914 were the Olympic Blue, and Marathon Blue Metallic. The latter looks like a silver with a bit of blue in it. You can check for the paint code on the metal plate on the driver's front door jamb, the number will be something like "L57K". You can look up the code on the 914 Club's site, I think it's under "Technical Specifications".
