That will be about 5-10 (sometimes 15) e-mails per day from me on the subject of 914s. With my own particular take on some things-- FI vs. carbs, etc. Are y'all willing to put up with that? ;^) >Also, would it be a good idea to exchange info regarding our individual >fields of "expertise"? All four-cylinder stuff. Getting ready to do the "painful acquisition" of experience on the six-cylinder stuff. D-jet FI, a little bit of L-jet. No carbs--I consider them to be "black magic". No bodywork or paint. Mediocre on electrical--I usually let Jim Thorusen dig around in the electrical diagrams when I get stuck. I have photocopies of an older copy of the 914 worshop manual, the Haynes book, Clymer/Lash, a few Bosch FI books. All the Up-Fixin' books except possibly the latest volume. Absolutely no clue on air conditioning, unless you count the one- by-sixty type. (One roof off, by Sixty miles per hour...) Well, I know some general principles, and I've read through the article on the Pelican site... --DD Dave Darling 74 914 2.0 (decapitated) darling@simlab.arc.nasa.gov "OFF WITH ITS HEADS!"
