Now make sure the battery has a full charge--if the battery is not fully charged, it may spin the starter but not have enough current left for the ignition circuits. After that, start checking for spark. Remove the coil wire from the distributor, hold it near a ground, and crank the engine. If no spark, you may have a bad coil. If you have spark at the coil, but not at the plug wires, then it could be bad distributor cap/rotor, bad distributor itself, or plug wires are shot. Check this out and let me know what happens.
