If so, once in a great while, you may get a defective sender out of the box. If you are sure the sender is good, and the wiring circuit between the sender and the gauge has good continuity, the gauge itself must be bad. If that turns out to be the case, call Tom in parts and he can fix you up with a new one. Hope this helps, Bob at Pelican Parts Wayne at Pelican Parts wrote: > Hmm, let me forward this to Bob in Tech Support, who should be able to help you > out with your question. > > Thanks, > > Wayne > > "T.A.MELVIN" wrote: > > > I noticed that I had a continuous high pressure reading.5bar.Having read > > that the sender fails high I assumed this was the problem so I replaced > > it,changed oil and filter which was in any case due,and removed, cleaned and > > blew through the oil galleries of the crankcase blow off and relief > > valves. My procedure is always to turn the motor with coil disconnected to > > get oil around before firing up after an oil change, and when I did this I > > got five bar in about 5 seconds on the starter motor only.Could it be gauge > > failure,or do you have other ideas? > > Terry Melvin
