If it's rust, there are probably some more parts that need replacing due to hidden rust. In either case, I'm sorry to say it isn't a job for a novice. It takes welding skills and a lot of expeertise to make sure all of the suspension pick-up points are correctly located, and that all of the body panels will align correctly.
