The car will need a front-end alignment anyway. The "european" ride height for the SC will result in the inside top of the wheel well being 25 inches from the pavement at all four corners (the fronts can be set a fraction lower). I wouldn't go much below this--you lose a lot of ride quality and surface clearance. Lowering the car doesn't require any parts. On replacing the struts, you can do it with metric hand tools, nothing special needed. It is just a matter of jacking the car up, removing the old shock, and replacing it with the new ones. I recommend that you stay with the Bilsteins, they are an outstanding shock. Call Tom at 1-888-280-7799 and he will fix you up with the right set.
