Frankly, the decision to bore the 2.4 case to 2.7 was a serious mistake.  Not only was the case more valuable in its native state, but a whole host of other problems around CIS, pistons, etc. has made progress almost non existent.  Nevertheless, by some stroke of luck this project has been resurrected in the form a 1981 vintage 3.0L engine!  A yet unnamed Porsche (hereafter referred to as The Donor) has brought new hope to Otto’s future—a 3.0L transplant.

 

Stogie anyone?  The Donor is a smoker!
