The tender worked great in my 2011 Boxster Spyder but fails to fit securely in my 98 C2S. I found out that older Porsches have a European cigarette lighter socket that is LARGER than North America and as a result the charger fits loose. It still appears to work but I need to either pick up a sheath from BMW to increase the size or switch tenders to one that I can hard wire onto the battery. Ultimately I think that will be the best.

Seems to be working well but the price was hard to take.

Get a tender for $40.00
Dropped fancy Porsche labeled battery "trickler" for cigarette light and it was so cheaply made it became unusable. Buy a $40.00 battery tender instead and clip right on to the battery at less than one third the price.

Porsche battery tender
While pricey, this is a very high quality and effective device. Well made, simple to use, compact.....it's hard to find fault with it except for the price. It even looks cool!
