This part is a must when cleaning up an old fuel tank. The old ones will disintegrate and cause you more problems if you don't replace it. This is also a cheaper alternative to replace the in tank pump with and swap in a higher output inline external pump. Did it on my 928 S4 and about to do another on my 924 turbo. Fits many different tanks on many different years, but check forums for fitment testimonies.

Fuel tank strainer filter
Came with a gasket. Mine was torn but had very little tank debris. New screen on bottom of photo. Old screen original for 1987 924S 113K miles.
