Perfect fit
A bit of fiddly work to get the interior panel out but otherwise, an easy 30-minute install. 3 bolts and a couple trim screws. New belt and retractor are a vast improvement.

Easy installation, similar faults
The drivers seatbelt on my '87 Carrera had frayed and developed a cut about 1/3 through the belt. Time for a replacement, click to Pelican. These are a cinch to install, but a word of caution: The belt hangar on the b pillar is not a match to my OE belts. It fits but requires an extra spacer that was not included to function well. I know these are Porsche parts (and they have been unified), so the fault doesn't lay with PP, but the hardware doesn't match what came original to the car. In my opinion, it's a cheaper solution, and to my eye it looks that way too.

Seat belt
Drags as drawn through upper guide I am concerned long term that this will cause belt to fray.

Easy Installation
It turned out to be much easier to install than I thought it would be. See my post in the tech section for tips on removing the interior panels. New belt works great.

Seat Belt
the plastic pcs in the B pillar guide ARE included, even thou not indicated. This is excellent as one of the pcs is listed as no longer available.

Easy to install, and a big improvement
I ordered these as replacements for the original shoulder belts on my 1983 911SC Cabriolet. The old ones had looked and felt frayed for several years, and they were not retracting properly. The replacements were simple to install, once the interior panels that cover the retractor reels were removed. Each belt assembly came with the retractor reel and the shoulder pulley present and ready to go, so installation was a simple matter of removing three bolts on each side (at the floor, the shoulder and the reel), taking out the old belt assembly and bolting in the new one. It is important to place the various washers and space back on the bolts in the same sequence as in the original installation. (The washers and bolts are not supplied with the replacement belts, so you need to reuse the old ones, as I was able to do, or order replacements for them separately.) The parts diagram on the PP web site shows the proper sequence. Also important is to not mix up the bolts, which are not all the same length, so it's a good idea to keep track of all the little parts when you remove the old belt.

The end result was exactly what I was hoping for: the new belts work as smoothly as those in a brand new car. No longer do I find the belt drooping dangerously loose over my chest after I've leaned forward and then sat back again.

The new belts are expensive, but the difference they make in the car's safety is worth it. If I had known earlier how easy this upgrade would be to install, I would have done it years ago.

Perfect Fit
A little pricey. Safety factor makes it worth it. Note that the new belts come with the upper and lower covers on the upper belt mount. I bought new covers at the same time as these belts and the sales rep failed to inform me of this. I guess I have some spares now!

9111 sc front seat belt
Part fits perfectly and looks original. I replaced these because the original belts would not retract smoothly and I was tried of them hanging out my door. These OEM replacements were scarcely better, they retract very poorly and take constant nudging to get them to wind up. For the price I am very disappointed.
