If you answered 'YES!' to any of the above questions, then you very might possibly need
the Pelican Parts Web Site Archive on CD-ROM, now available for FREE!!!* This
new product contains all of the hints, tips, technical articles, and photos that are
located on the web site. You may
ask:
How does it work? You use
the form on this website to sign up for our FREE CD-ROM. In the past we
used to charge a shipping and handling fee, but we do not charge this anymore. The
order form on the site is secure, and we accept credit cards to pay for the shipping
charge. You can also mail us a check, or simply drop two bucks in an envelope, and
we will send one out to you.
What's on the CD-ROM?
Almost everything that is on the website will be on the CD-ROM, including our On-line
Catalog, Tech Articles, and all the Monterey Pictures!
What's not on the CD-ROM?
The CGI-based programs that run on the website will not work while you are viewing the
CD-ROM. These include the search engine, the BBS, the random image viewer in the
catalog, etc. We are currently working on adding a local, CD-based search engine
specifically for the CD. Due to negotiations with PCNA, the parts diagrams are
currently available only on the web.
Hmm, How much does it really cost?
NOTHING! There are no shipping or handling charges. Simply fill out the form
on the next page, and we'll send you one for free!
What computers will it work on?
We're happy to announce that the new version of the CD-ROM will work with all versions of
Windows from 1995 (95, 98, NT, 2000), and should work with all versions of Linux.
The new Fall 2000 CD also now works with all 68K and PowerPC Macintoshes! The files
utilize long filenames which makes it somewhat incompatible with Windows 3.1. You
could view files on Win 3.1, but you wouldn't be able to navigate easily through the
CD. Click here for the Read Me file from the CD.
Is this a good deal? Heck
yes, it's FREE!!! I personally hate waiting for my computer to download
material from the web. Plus, having an archive of the site guards means that you
will always have access to the material in case our site is down or runs out of space.
How do I get one? We've
recently set up an ordering page just for purchasing the CD-Rom. Click here to jump to the
ordering page.
