If you have a lowered car and have run out of adjustment with the stock camber arms or if you have a track car and are looking for increased camber adjustment, light weight, stronger components, and increased suspension handling, then Turner Motorsport's adjustable camber arms are for you. TMS offers two bushing styles to meet your needs, a solid Rod-end or Rubber Bushing end. The high range of adjustment allows a full racecar setup or a heavily lowered car to maintain factory specifications. Aluminum camber arms are designed as a lightweight component thereby reducing wear and tear on other, more critical parts (rear subframe, control arm bushings, etc) Each camber arm weighs only 2.5 lbs making for a total of 5 lbs for both parts (stock camber arms weigh 3 lbs each) TMS Camber Arms use hardcoat anodized aluminum, stainless steel turnbuckles, and stainless rod ends to all but eliminate corrosion from getting into the threads and making adjustment difficult. CNC-machined double shear design for ease of installation, high strength, and choice of outside bushing material. But we do suggest using with (BMW rear trailing arm bushing # 33-32-6-775-551) for best performance. Easy and simple to adjust, the main adjustment point is out by the wheel so there is no need to work around the exhaust or subframe to adjust camber.

TMS E46 fixed camber plates are designed from knowledge gained from the highly successful campaigns with in the SPEED World Challenge series. These plates are offset for the best camber and caster combination for racing purposes. Camber gain ranges from -2.5° to -3.0°, depending on each individual car. While ride height is increased by 1/8”, the benefit of these plates far outweighs the minor ride height increase. The rate of camber change is virtually unaffected throughout the range of suspension travel, reducing the need for other suspension geometry correcting components. Material has also been added to increase surface contact area therefore reducing the strut tower deformation and increasing the strength of the strut towers. Fixed mount camber plates are legal for all BMWCCA classes and many SCCA classes. This is a simple bolt on part. These fixed camber plates can be used on all non-M, non-xi E46 3 series, including 323i, 323Ci, 325i, 325Ci, 328i, 328Ci, 330i & 330Ci as produced from 1999 to 2005 (and 2006 coupes).

TMS' E46 M3 caster-camber plate is designed for coil over suspensions which use a 60mm, 2.25" or 2.5" ID spring. Originally, our plates were designed for use with the Bilstein PSS9 front struts but with 60mm ID race springs (not the standard PSS9 springs). These will also work on Moton Club Sports and other struts that use a 16mm shock shaft (the stock E46M3 size). Camber is adjusted by simply loosening the top three bolts and sliding the plate. Caster is adjusted at any time from the top of the car. Camber has a wide range of adjustment, from stock to a full race setting (about -1 degree to -3.6 degrees) Detailed settings and combinations will depend on each car’s suspension geometry, ride height etc.

Race camber plates (with solid spherical bearings) are great for the track, but what if you want to drive your car on the street too? That’s what the TMS E46M3 street style caster/camber plates are: A plate you can use on the street, still have the available adjustment of a race camber plate, and not have to put up with a harsh ride or replace the bearings every season. The E46M3 STOCK strut mount only allows about ½ ° camber adjustment and no caster adjustment. For most track cars or street cars that occasionally see the track, that is not nearly enough. The stock strut mount is also set at an angle that is suited only for that position, and puts additional bending load on the strut if it is not in its original position. The TMS Caster/Camber Plates allow significant camber adjustment from approximately -1.2° to -3.85° and allows for the needed strut angle change. Note: Each car’s suspension setup/geometry/ride height will be the limiting factor on range of movement. These plates directly replace the stock strut mount, and incorporate a replaceable custom designed urethane bushing. The stock spring perch and bearing are retained in the assembly, allowing this part to be used with stock or aftermarket struts, such as a Bilstein PSS9 kit. Basically, this is a must for any one who will be auto-crossing, going to track days, or doing any performance driving, and still needs their car as a daily driver. Each part of the TMS caster/camber plates is CNC machined from aircraft grade aluminum billet. All aluminum pieces were then coated to MIL-A-8625F Type III spec hardcoat anodizing. Each steel part was either powdercoated or nickel plated to QQ-N-290A Grade F specifications. High grade hardware is used and main internal threads are helicoiled to add strength and life. A scale for camber and caster has been laser engraved on the upper plate which will always be visible for adjustment, and the upper plate is a full round circle to better distribute the force on the strut tower so it is not compromised. This has shown to be a problem on several BMW chassis, including the E46. This TMS part will not accelerate strut tower deformation.

The BMW E46 3-Series chassis is one of the most rigid and well built BMW chassis to date. Even so, it still has some of the traditional BMW weak points. One of these is the rear sway bar mounts. From chassis to chassis the problem has not been identical, but all the damage we have seen has been related to metal fatigue. The metal fatigue is due to the constant twisting and side loading of the sway bar. These forces on the sway bar will cause the mounting points to fail over time. The failure can happen faster with sway bar bind do to improper maintenance of the bushings, however proper sway bar bushing maintenance does not totally eliminate the problem. In the case of the E46 the sheet metal for the bushing bracket does not have enough material to support the loads being transferred to the subframe. TMS has designed this reinforcement to strengthen and redirect the load to stronger sheet metal. Requires Welding. Does not fit M3.

For the American market, BMW supplied the E46 with one size for the differential, whereas in Europe there were two sizes (large and small, depending on the model). The American market got the large differential casing along with a driveshaft that cannot be interchanged with the small differential. Many racing teams prefer to use the small diff because of its lighter weight and greater selection of gear ratios. This poses a problem for racecars in the US market because not only did you have to buy a diff, you also had to buy the matching driveshaft (from the Euro 320i). Turner Motorsport ran into this scenario a lot during their World Challenge campaign and the solution was to machine an aluminum spacer to adapt the stock, large-style driveshaft to the small diff. They now offer this part for sale to other builders. Using this part will save time and money and keep the parts on the car standardized (no need to order a spare driveshaft from Europe.) This spacer is for a 4-bolt universal-joint style driveshaft and matching 4-bolt input differential flange only. This was found mostly on the early-E46 but at some point BMW switched over to a CV Joint style flange. We don’t know for sure when this was done so on car made 2001 or later, we suggest you check the rear flange. Neither of the differentials supplied in street BMWs had limited slip, but BMW Motorsport did make a racing limited slip unit using the small differential as a basis (it’s expensive which is why we came out with our own). At this point there are aftermarket limited slip differentials for both the small and large differentials (including the TMS LSD unit mentioned above). This driveshaft spacer will work with any of them installed in the small diff with the 4-bolt flange. Currently, this part only applies to 5-speed cars. It is not for a car with the 6-speed transmission.
