Hydraulic Lifters |
| Whenever you replace the camshaft, always replace the lifters as well. As with any moving parts, they wear down, so installing a new camshaft with old lifters can cause premature wear on your camshaft. |

Cylinder Head Bolts |
| Rebuilding your engine? Why take risks with old hardware? Use OEM original bolts when reassembling your engine. Head bolts have a tendency to stretch when they are initially torqued, so it's good insurance to use new bolts during re-assembly. Note: BMW recommends owners of 325 6 cylinder models upgrade to the newer Torx style head bolts as the original hex head bolts can stretch and break. |
