A/C Compressor Clutches |
| The Compressor Clutch is basically used as a mechanical on/off switch in your A/C system. With the A/C turned off, the clutch is disengaged, and the drive belt spins freely on the outer pulley of the clutch, When you turn the A/C knob, it sends a signal to the electro-magnetic clutch, which in turn locks it, causing the outer pulley to spin along with the inner section, which is directly connected to the compressor, thus forcing it to operate. Many times A/C clutches can fail or seize, rendering your A/C system useless. If this is the case, we can provide you with a new unit. |

A/C Receiver Dryers |
| The Receiver Dryer is placed in the air conditioning system in order to collect any moisture in the system. Over time, the Receiver Dryer can lose it's effectiveness, causing excess moisture to build up in your a/c system. It is also highly recommended that the Receiver Dryer be replaced any time the a/c system is opened up to outside air. |

A/C Condensers |
| After the A/C compressor pressurizes the hot gaseous refrigerant, it is transported through the Receiver Dryer and then onto the condenser. The function of the condenser is to receive the refrigerant in a gaseous state, then condense it down into a liquid state. It does this based on the radiator-like construction of loops, cooling fins, and location. Most condensers are mounted in locations where oncoming air helps to aid in the process. Many times, electric fans are mounted on the condenser as well, to further aid in the process. |
