Question: I've checked and seen that my
transmission mounts are cracked and deteriorated. New ones are $80 each! Is
there a better, low-cost alternative? Answer: Funny that you should ask, as there is a lower cost alternative to the 914 transmission mounts. They are the 911 motor mounts and are very similar in design, and also have similar performance characteristics. They are about half the cost and work just as well. A set of these mounts are shown in Figure 1. |
