Question: How can I tell the difference between the injectors used on all the types of 914 motors? 

Answer:
     It's simple, the injectors for the 914 motor are color coded.  Yellow injectors are for the 1.7L motor, Green are for the 2.0L motor, and Beige (sometimes light-blue) are for the 1.8 motor.

1.7L Injector 022-906-031A Yellow
1.8L Injector 022-906-031C Beige (lt Blue)
2.0L Injector 039-906-031A Green
