Bolt-on Accelerator Linkage Kit |
|
This linkage kit is a must for 914-6 conversions. It avoids the
nasty process of drilling through your 901 transmission intermediate plate to mount the
bell crank. The kit contains four pieces:
- A special bracket and crank that mounts to the bolts on the rear cover of the 901
- A 914-6 bracket that holds the end of the accelerator cable
- A 914-6 accelerator cable that replaces the 4 cylinder one
- A 911 throttle rod, that can be used instead of the expensive 914-6 throttle rod because
the bell crank is further back on the transmission.

Remember: NO MACHINING NEEDED! |

914-6 Fiberglass 'Sheet Metal Kit' |
|
Original sheet metal is almost impossible to find. Good steel
replicas are available, but they are sometimes not exact and they often rust or become
bent when installing. The fiberglass set is very pliable, will not rust, and is an
exact replacement for the factory sheet metal. Sold as a kit or in individual
pieces. |

Factory Original 914-6 Oil Tank |
|
Factory original tanks are copper-plated steel with a coating of black
paint. They are very light, and fit perfectly in the left fender of the 914.
The bare tank requires the filler neck, cap, dipstick, and filter console before it can be
used with a six cylinder engine. You also need to obtain a set of factory oil lines. |

New
Aftermarket Aluminum Oil Tank |
|
Looking for a cheaper alternative? We carry the aftermarket oil
tank designed by The George Vellios Company. Made of aluminum, it is slightly
heavier than the stock tank, but will not rust. Internally, it is an exact replica
of the factory tank. Externally, it fits into the same spot as the original tank.
It has the oil filter console cast into the tank, and is available with either AN
or original metric fittings. Requires the oil filler neck, cap, and dipstick to
complete the assembly. |

Oil Tank Lines for use with Aftermarket Tank |
|
Three oil lines and an adapter are required to connect the aftermarket
tank to the 911 engine. Custom made using stainless outside sheathing, these lines
will withstand the abuse that they receive underneath your car. Also included is the
AN to metric adapter. |

Oil Filler Neck, Cap, Dipstick, and Oil Filter Console |
|
In addition to the oil tank itself, you need the oil filler neck, cap,
dipstick, and oil filter console. We sell these as a kit to accompany the 914-6 oil
tank. |

Factory Original Heat Exchangers |
|
Nothing beats the factory original heat exchangers to provide
you with the best combination of performance and heat/defrosting in your car. Good
used ones are almost unheard of, but new ones are available. Be sure to have them
jet-hot coated to protect them against rust. |

914-6 Headers |
|
This is the choice for most 914-6 conversions. The headers do not
interfere with the shift linkage, and are available in three sizes, 1.5",
1.625", and 1.75". These are the outside diameters of the pipes. We
recommend using the 1.625" headers for most applications. |

911 Ansa Factory Style Mufflers |
|
The Ansa factory style muffler is a good substitute for the factory
original mufflers (about 3 times more expensive). This muffler will easily bolt up
to the 914-6 headers or heat exchangers. |

914-6 / 901 Flywheel |
|
Converting to a 914-6? This is a necessary component in the
conversion process. Recently unavailable at any price, a few of these have suddenly
reappeared. Will fit any 911 motor up to and including '77 2.7L. |

Custom
Made 3.0L Flywheel for 901 Tranny |
|
A 3.0L gives you plenty of low end torque, and plenty of headaches when
figuring out how to mount it to the 901 transmission. Our custom-made-to-order
flywheels are matched to your particular year engine (there are two different types of
3.0L flywheels), and balanced and aligned with your pressure plate. |

Turbo Aluminum Lower Valve Covers |
|
The original valve covers are infamous for leaking around the gasket
seals. This is because the magnesium has a different coefficient of thermal
expansion than the aluminum heads. The result is a gap that develops when hot, along
with a leak. Fix the problem on the lower set by installing a set of aluminum turbo
valve covers. These need to be machined slightly in order to get them off of the
heads when the engine is installed in the car. |

New
Top Aluminum Valve Covers |
|
The same problem described above exists with the upper valve covers as
well. Installing aluminum covers solves most leak problems. |

Carrera Pressure-Fed Chain Tensioner Kit |
|
Got your 911 engine out before you're going to put it into your 914?
Then upgrade to Carrera pressure fed chain tensioners. It's not a question of
if, it's a question of when the original tensioners will fail. Upgrading to the
pressure fed type is cheap insurance against the catastrophic damage that failed
tensioners can cause. |
